At 7.00pm the Committee is pleased to introduce Mike “Stan” Stanford. Stan is a full time Claims Consultant for the Veterinary Defence Society and a hugely entertaining and interesting speaker. We understand there are many parallels between the Veterinary Defence Society and the medical defence organisations. The VDS pre-dates the medical defence societies having been formed in in 1865. The society is a mutual and insures 97% of the veterinary profession for civil claims and regulatory matters. Their disciplinary side is exploding and he foresees more and more involvement with our legal colleagues.

The Committee is delighted to announce that Evlynne Gilvarry, Chief Executive and Registrar of the GDC has been confirmed as a speaker for Wednesday 14 March 2012. Please put the first meeting for 2012 in your diaries.
